Visitor & Engagement Tracking

Prepared for Melton Norcross & Associates, LLC by Blue Carrot Creative · October 2026

Every month, Melton Norcross mails 10,000–15,000 letters to potential clients and sends the Collections Alert newsletter to its existing contacts. Until now, there has been no way to know which of those efforts produced interest unless someone picked up the phone or mentioned where they heard about you. This section explains what changes with the new website.

At a glance

  • Set up and configured. A dedicated tracking and engagement platform is in place and activates the day MeltonNorcross.com goes live.
  • Newsletter tracking. See who opens and clicks each Collections Alert, and what they read on the website afterward.
  • Direct mail tracking. Campaign-specific QR codes and web addresses show which mailings and segments bring people to the site.
  • Company identification. For many visitors, see which company is browsing, even before they fill out a form.
  • A simple lookup for your team. Search an email or company name and see their history at a glance. No new CRM to learn.

1. Overview

As part of the website build, we have set up and configured a dedicated tracking and engagement platform for Melton Norcross. Everything is in place and waiting on one final step: activation when MeltonNorcross.com goes live. From launch day forward, you’ll be able to see who is engaging with your mail, your emails and your website, and use that information to follow up at the right time.

2. What You’ll Be Able to See

Who is opening and clicking your newsletter

The Collections Alert newsletter now runs from the same platform that tracks your website. For every contact on your list, you’ll see:

  • Whether they opened each issue
  • Which links they clicked
  • What they read on the website afterward, and how long they stayed

Newsletter engagement and website activity are recorded together on one contact record. You no longer have to piece them together from separate tools.

Which mailings are bringing people to your website

Each mailing campaign will carry its own QR code and web address, grouped by the segments that matter to you, such as state or industry. When a recipient scans the code or types in the address, the visit is credited to that campaign. Over time, this shows you:

  • Which mailing lists and segments are responding
  • Which ones are not
  • Where your postage is producing results and where it could be redirected

Which companies are visiting your site

Because your business is entirely B2B, knowing the company behind a visit is often just as valuable as knowing the individual. For many visitors, the platform can identify the company they’re browsing from, even if they never fill out a form. That includes repeat visits, which are often the strongest sign of interest.

When an anonymous visitor becomes a known contact

Each campaign landing page includes a short form paired with a useful resource. When a visitor fills it out, their full history is attached to their new contact record, including earlier visits made before they identified themselves. Your team sees the whole picture from first visit to first conversation.

3. Suggested Landing Page Offers

The right offer gives visitors a reason to share their information. Here are five options we recommend considering:

  • Lien & Notice Deadline Quick Reference: A state-by-state guide to lien filing and notice deadlines. It’s a practical resource that keeps prospects coming back, and it shows your expertise from the first click.
  • Free Past-Due Account Review: Prospects submit a past-due account for a no-obligation assessment of its recoverability. It produces the most qualified leads because the visitor is already holding an account they need help with.
  • Collections Readiness Checklist: The documentation and information to gather before placing an account for collection. It helps prospects prepare to work with you and makes the first conversation easier.
  • Receivables Aging Guide: A short guide showing how recovery odds decline as an account ages. It creates urgency around acting now instead of waiting.
  • Subscribe to the Collections Alert: A simple newsletter sign-up for visitors who aren’t ready to talk yet. It keeps Melton Norcross in front of them every month until they are.

We’re starting with the Collections Readiness Checklist, which is already drafted. The next section explains how it will work.

4. A Simple Lookup for Your Team

You already have a CRM for billing and tracking collections, and this platform does not replace it. Your team gets its own login with a simple search. Type in an email address or a company name and see at a glance:

  • Have they been to the website? Which pages, how often, and how recently?
  • Have they opened or clicked our newsletter?
  • Did they arrive from one of our mailings?

This turns a cold call into an informed one. Before reaching out, your team will know what a prospect has already looked at and what caught their attention.

5. How This Helps Melton Norcross

  • Measure your direct mail. For the first time, see which mailings and segments generate real interest.
  • Follow up at the right moment. Reach out to companies when they’re actively looking, not months later.
  • Make better use of your newsletter. Learn which topics your clients and prospects actually read.
  • Spend smarter. Put more of your mailing budget behind the lists and segments that respond.
  • Keep it simple. A focused lookup tool for your team, with no new CRM to learn.

6. What’s Been Done

Setup and configuration are included in your current campaign, and the following is complete:

  • Tracking installed across the new website, ready to activate at launch
  • The Collections Alert newsletter and your existing contact list moved into the new platform
  • A campaign landing page structure built for your mailings
  • Campaign-specific QR codes and web addresses created for your mailers
  • Team login and lookup access set up

Ongoing platform costs are outlined in the Ongoing Services section of your portal.

7. What We’ll Need From You

  1. Confirmation of how you’d like your mailings grouped (for example by state, industry or list source)
  2. Your choice of any additional landing page offers from the suggestions above
  3. Adding the campaign QR code and web address to each mailing template
  4. The names and email addresses of the team members who should have lookup access

8. A Note on Privacy

Tracking is disclosed in the website’s privacy policy. Visitors are identified by name only when they choose to share their information, for example by filling out a form or clicking a link in an email you’ve sent them.
