Social Media & Google Business Profile Plan
This section shows exactly what Blue Carrot Creative will do in the first four weeks after approval: how each Google Business Profile and social profile will be optimized, and every post — with its image — planned for the first month. Paid advertising is covered separately in the Search & Social Advertising section.
At a glance
- Google Business Profile comes first. Both offices — Frisco and Lafayette — are fully optimized in week one. These profiles are what prospects (and mailer recipients) see when they search for Melton Norcross, often before the website.
- LinkedIn is the main social channel, because that is where credit managers, controllers and owners of oilfield service companies are.
- Facebook (mirrored to Instagram) is the trust layer: an active page that shows a real, established firm to anyone who checks.
- YouTube and X are kept current with light effort — YouTube hosts the few videos we produce; X shares new content automatically.
- First month: 24 original posts with custom images — 8 Google posts (4 per office), 8 LinkedIn posts and 8 Facebook/Instagram posts — plus automatic shares to X.
1. Where Things Stand Today

Draft description โ Frisco
Melton Norcross & Associates is a commercial debt collection agency headquartered in Frisco, Texas, with a second office in Lafayette, Louisiana. For more than 30 years we have helped businesses recover past-due business-to-business receivables, with a specialty in the oil and gas industry — upstream, midstream and downstream, from drilling contractors and equipment rental companies to trucking and pipeline service providers. Our services include commercial collections, oil and gas mineral liens, skip tracing, asset investigation, judgment recovery and litigation through a nationwide network of collection attorneys. We work on contingency: if we don’t collect, you don’t pay.
Draft description โ Lafayette
Melton Norcross & Associates serves Louisiana businesses from our Lafayette office, backed by our Frisco, Texas headquarters and more than 30 years of commercial debt collection experience. We specialize in recovering past-due business-to-business receivables for the oil and gas industry — service companies, drilling contractors, equipment rental, trucking and pipeline providers across Acadiana and the Gulf Coast. We understand Louisiana’s oil well lien rights and work alongside a nationwide network of collection attorneys when suit is needed. Commercial accounts only, on contingency: if we don’t collect, you don’t pay.
Review program
- Ask at the moment of success: each remittance email and letter includes the office’s short review link and a QR code.
- Automatic follow-up: an automated email a few days after remittance with the same link.
- Ask every client, reward none: Google prohibits incentives and prohibits asking only satisfied clients.
- Every review answered within two business days, without confirming account details beyond what the reviewer shared.
- Debtor reviews: answered calmly with an offline contact; reviews that break Google’s policies are reported for removal.
4. Optimizing the Other Profiles
LinkedIn company page
- New logo and a banner built from the new website design.
- Tagline and About section rewritten around commercial collections, oil & gas and both offices.
- Specialties updated to match the services list; Lafayette added as a second location.
- “Contact us” button linked to the Place an Account form.
- Monthly follower invitations sent to relevant connections.
- New profile and cover images; name, phone, hours, address and category matched to Google.
- About section and services list updated; “Contact us” button linked to the Place an Account form.
- Connected to Instagram for automatic cross-posting.
- Business profile set up with the new logo, a short bio and a link to the website.
- Every Facebook post shares to Instagram automatically — no separate content.
YouTube
- Branded channel with banner, description, website and social links.
- Ready to host the homepage video, with short vertical cut-downs for Shorts, Reels and the Google profiles once produced.
X
- Updated bio, header image and link to match the new brand.
- Each new blog post, Collections Alert issue and LinkedIn post shared automatically; a current post pinned.
Directories
- Yelp claimed and moved out of “Debt Relief Services” to a commercial category.
- Yellow Pages, BBB, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect and the major data aggregators updated with the official phone and hours.
5. Who Posts on LinkedIn
Company page: yes, directly. Blue Carrot Creative manages the Melton Norcross company page and will publish all company posts directly from it. No individual employee profile is needed for this.
An employee voice is optional but valuable. Posts from a real person usually reach more people than company page posts. If David, Shelley or Meghan is willing, they can reshare company posts or publish an occasional post we draft for them. They would post it from their own account; we can’t post on someone’s personal profile for them without their own login.
We don’t recommend a shared or generic “employee” profile. LinkedIn requires every personal profile to represent one real person. Shared or made-up profiles can be restricted or removed, and they come across as inauthentic to the decision-makers we want to reach. The company page plus one real person (if anyone is willing) is the better setup.
6. First-Month Content Calendar
Each week follows one theme across every channel. All images are custom branded graphics in Melton Norcross navy and gold with the new logo, or real office and team photos. We don’t use stock photos of people.

30+ years in the oil patch
Oilfield receivables aren’t like other debts. Work moves between operators, service companies and subcontractors, and payment delays travel down the chain.
For more than 30 years, Melton Norcross & Associates has specialized in recovering exactly these accounts, from Frisco and now Lafayette. If a customer is 90+ days past due, that’s the time to talk.

Mineral liens have deadlines
In Texas and Louisiana, mineral liens are one of the strongest tools for getting paid on oil and gas work, but only if they’re filed in time. Once the window closes, that leverage is gone for good.
We track lien timing on every oilfield account we take on. If you’re waiting on an invoice for field work, don’t wait on the lien.

Week 2 โ Red flags
Google ยท Frisco
3 signs a customer won’t pay
1) Partial payments with no explanation. 2) A new contact who doesn’t know the account. 3) “The check is in the mail,” more than once.

Louisiana oil well lien rights
Louisiana’s oil well lien law gives service providers powerful rights, with notice and filing requirements that differ from Texas. Our Lafayette team knows both.

The “check is in the mail” test
When a customer goes from “we’ll pay Friday” to “the check is in the mail” to “let me talk to our controller,” you’re no longer being scheduled. You’re being managed.
That’s the moment to act, while lien rights and leverage still exist. What’s the earliest warning sign you’ve learned to watch for?

Week 3 โ Get paid up front

Mineral liens in Texas
Unpaid for oil and gas work in Texas? A mineral lien can attach your claim to the property you worked on, and strict timing rules decide whether you can use it. We track that timing on every oilfield account.

Before you extend terms
A complete credit application, with a personal guaranty, signed by someone with authority, is the cheapest collection tool there is. Ask for one before the first job, not after the first missed payment.

7. How We’ll Measure It
| Channel | What we track | Starting target |
|---|---|---|
| Google Business Profiles | Calls, website clicks, direction requests, new reviews, average rating | 2โ4 new reviews per month across both offices; steady growth in calls and clicks |
| Followers, engagement, link clicks | Grow from about 74 to 250+ followers in six months | |
| Facebook / Instagram | Reach, follows, link clicks | Consistent twice-weekly posting; baseline growth |
| Website | Visits and form fills from each profile and channel | Baseline in month one, then month-over-month growth |
| New business | Accounts placed from Google, LinkedIn or social | “How did you hear about us?” added to the intake form |
8. Guardrails
- Never name a debtor, a debtor’s company or case details. Any results we share are anonymized.
- Never name a client without written permission.
- All messaging stays business-to-business, with no consumer-debt language or categories.
- Public replies never include account details.
- No incentives for reviews, and every client is asked, not just satisfied ones.
9. Questions to Clarify
- Official phone numbers. We found three numbers listed for the Frisco office: (469) 513-8458, (972) 731-4330 and (214) 705-6128. Which is the primary number for Frisco, and which for Lafayette? Should the others be retired or forwarded?
- Official business hours. Listings show different hours (for example 7:30โ5:00, 8:00โ5:00 and 8:30โ5:30). What are the correct hours for each office?
- Current fees. The fees page lists 25% on commercial accounts and 40% on suit accounts, but the older About page still states 30%. Which rates should appear in public messaging?
- Yelp. May we claim the Yelp listing and move it out of “Debt Relief Services”?
- LinkedIn voice. Would David, Shelley or Meghan be willing to reshare company posts, or occasionally post content we draft for them, from their own LinkedIn profile? (See section 5.)
- Photos. Can we schedule a short photo session at both offices in week 2 or 3, or can your team send current phone photos of the offices, signage and staff?
