FAQ Library: Answering the Questions Your Clients Search
Before a business places an account, it has questions: what will this cost, how long will it take, does the law allow it, can you collect from an oilfield operator. They type those questions into Google, and more and more often into AI assistants like ChatGPT, Google’s AI Overviews and Copilot.
This library answers those questions directly. Each answer will appear on the pages where it matters most, written so that Google and AI assistants can quote it, and marked up so search results can show it.
At a glance
- 39 questions drafted, grouped by topic: general, fees, legal, oil & gas and liens, services, and locations.
- Every question is tied to a real search phrase and to the pages where it will appear.
- 3–7 FAQs on every main page and landing page, chosen from this library.
- Quick review: choose Keep, Revise or Remove on each question, and add a note.
1. Why FAQs Matter for Search and AI
| Benefit | How it works |
|---|---|
| Rank for questions | Many searches are questions. A page that answers the exact question clearly is more likely to rank for it. |
| Show up in AI answers | AI assistants and Google’s AI Overviews pull short, direct answers from trusted pages. Answer-first writing makes Melton Norcross quotable. This is called answer engine optimization (AEO). |
| Richer search results | FAQ markup helps Google understand each question and answer on the page. |
| Fewer objections | Prospects get answers about fees, timing and the law before they call, so the first conversation is about their account. |
2. How We Chose the Questions
- The questions business owners ask most in Google’s “People also ask” results for commercial collection searches
- The questions people ask AI assistants when comparing collection agencies
- The questions answered by the collection agencies that rank for your target searches
- The questions your own team hears, especially about oilfield work and mineral liens
Next, we’ll confirm search volumes for each phrase with our keyword research tools and adjust priorities based on what we find.
