Press Release Plan
Three press releases over the next three months will put Melton Norcross in front of business owners, credit managers and trade editors who wouldn’t otherwise come across the firm, and send them to the new website. The strategy is set, the first two releases are written and ready for your review below, and the third is your choice of two topics.
At a glance
- Release #1 is written and ready to review: the Louisiana expansion and the new Lafayette office.
- Release #2 is drafted and ready for your input: the appointments of Shelley D. Parlow and Meghan Delhomme. Bracketed items are placeholders for you to cross out and replace.
- Release #3 is your choice: a new-website announcement, or a mineral lien deadline advisory.
- One release per month: the October release, the November release and the December release.
- Every release is distributed, pitched, promoted and measured, with a short results report in this portal about a week after each one goes out.

Melton Norcross & Associates Expands Into Louisiana With New Lafayette Office
Commercial collection agency brings more than 30 years of oil and gas receivables experience to service companies across Acadiana and the Gulf Coast
LAFAYETTE, La. — [Release date] — Melton Norcross & Associates, LLC, a commercial debt collection agency specializing in the oil and gas industry, has opened an office in Lafayette, Louisiana, at 400 E. Kaliste Saloom Road, Suite 2600F. The office gives oilfield service companies, drilling contractors, equipment rental firms, trucking companies and pipeline providers across Louisiana a local partner for recovering past-due business-to-business invoices.
“Louisiana has always been an important part of the oil patch, and many of the companies we work for operate on both sides of the state line,” said David Roche, President of Melton Norcross & Associates. “A team in Lafayette means Louisiana businesses work with people who know their market, their customers and their lien rights, backed by the same process we’ve used in Texas for more than 30 years.”
Unpaid invoices are a constant risk in oil and gas, where payment delays travel down the chain from operators to service companies and their subcontractors. Louisiana law gives oilfield service providers strong lien protections, but its notice and filing requirements differ from those in Texas, and missing a deadline can mean losing that leverage entirely. The Lafayette office works with clients to protect those rights while there is still time to use them.
Melton Norcross handles commercial collections from first contact through resolution, including debtor investigation, skip tracing, asset searches, mineral liens, judgment recovery and litigation through a nationwide network of collection attorneys. The firm works on contingency, so clients pay nothing unless money is recovered.
“[Optional second quote, for example from Meghan Delhomme, Director of Client Relations: what Louisiana clients can expect when they place an account.]”
