Press Release Plan

Prepared for Melton Norcross & Associates, LLC by Blue Carrot Creative · October 2026

This section shows exactly what Blue Carrot Creative will do once this plan is approved: the three press releases planned for October, November and December, where each one will be distributed, how each one will be promoted after it goes out, and how we’ll report the results. The first release is fully drafted below and ready to finalize.

At a glance

  • Three releases, one per month: the October release, the November release and the December release.
  • The goal is exposure: putting Melton Norcross in front of business owners, credit managers and the trade press who wouldn’t otherwise find the firm, and sending new visitors to the new website.
  • Every release goes out on national news distribution, targeted to Texas, Louisiana, energy and business outlets, and is pitched directly to regional business and oil & gas trade publications.
  • Every release is promoted afterward on the website’s News section, LinkedIn, both Google Business Profiles, Facebook, X and the Collections Alert.
  • Every release is measured: where it was published, how many people it could reach, and how many visitors it sent to the website.

1. What Press Releases Do for Melton Norcross

BenefitWhat it means in practice
ExposureEach release is republished across news websites and industry outlets, reaching readers who have never heard of Melton Norcross.
Brand mentionsThe Melton Norcross name appears on dozens of third-party sites. When a prospect searches the company name, they find recent, credible news instead of only the website.
Referral trafficEvery release links to a specific page on the new website, bringing interested readers straight to the services, locations and contact form.
CredibilityNews of a new office and new leadership shows an established, growing firm, which matters to a company deciding who to trust with its receivables.
Reusable contentEach release becomes a post in the website’s News section, a LinkedIn and Google post, and an item in the Collections Alert.

Press releases are a visibility tool. Search ranking improvements come mainly from the new website and the Google Business Profile work, which are covered in their own sections.

Melton Norcross & Associates Expands Into Louisiana With Lafayette Office

Texas-based commercial collection agency brings more than 30 years of oil and gas receivables experience closer to service companies across Acadiana and the Gulf Coast

LAFAYETTE, La. — [Release date] — Melton Norcross & Associates, LLC, a commercial debt collection agency specializing in the oil and gas industry, has [opened] an office in Lafayette, Louisiana, at 400 E. Kaliste Saloom Road, Suite 2600F. The office gives oilfield service companies, drilling contractors, equipment rental firms, trucking companies and pipeline providers in Louisiana a local partner for recovering past-due business-to-business invoices.

“Louisiana has always been an important part of the oil patch, and many of the companies we work for operate on both sides of the state line,” said David [Last Name], President of Melton Norcross & Associates. “Having a team in Lafayette means Louisiana businesses get someone who knows their market, their customers and their lien rights, backed by the same process we’ve used in Texas for more than 30 years.”

Unpaid invoices are a constant risk in oil and gas, where payment delays move down the chain from operators to service companies and subcontractors. Louisiana’s oil well lien law gives service providers strong protections, but its notice and filing rules differ from those in Texas. The Lafayette office works with clients to protect those rights before deadlines pass.

Melton Norcross handles commercial collections from first contact through resolution, including debtor investigation, skip tracing, asset searches, mineral liens, judgment recovery and litigation through a nationwide network of collection attorneys. The firm works on contingency: if it doesn’t collect, the client doesn’t pay.

“[Optional second quote from Meghan Delhomme, Director of Client Relations, about serving Louisiana clients.]”
